After you've logged into Property Desktop (PD), you'll find yourself on the home screen. Normally this will be a web page with a link to our PD blog and this manual.

The main screens within Property Desktop are all listed in the "ribbon" style menu along the top of the screen. Some of these options may not be visible in your version - it depends which modules your company has signed up for.

The menu options are grouped into 3 main areas, reflecting the 3 main modules that PD offers:

"Properties and Events" is for all property related information - current and historical leases (including their accommodation and rental analyses), and the events associated with them.

PD5MenuProperties

"Companies and Contacts" covers your internal contacts database - contacts, their companies, and their requirements.

PD5MenuContacts

"Job Tracking" is for your projects and fees.

Although each of the modules can be used as a standalone tool, the strength of PD comes from the fact that these modules are inter-linked. eg. If you do a job on a property in Leeds for a client, the job record will sit in the jobs section, linked to a property in the properties database and a company in the Address book. Additionally, the tenant and landlord for the property will sit in the Address book as well.

This manual will cover all of the above modules, but focusing primarily on the day to day tasks you need to accomplish. Please select one of the links to the left to proceed.
