What's new in PD5 |
Top Previous Next |
PD5 is a major upgrade. It is a complete re-design intended to update the interface and provide a modern, user-friendly experience.
New features include:
•Ribbon style navigation •Enhanced and Extended Zone A Calculator •Portable analysis files •Revised screen layouts for larger screens •Analysis Preview •Support for Turnover Rents •Integrated Maps and Street View •Ability to import from CVL and spreadsheet files
Ribbon Style Navigation
The main screens in PD are now accessed via the Ribbon menu along the top of the screen. On smaller screens you can minimize the height of the ribbon by double-clicking on the tabs.
The default colour scheme is blue, two other schemes are available from the Admin tab:
Enhanced Zone A Calculator
The Zone A/Rental Analysis Calculator has been completely re-designed. It can now be used in "standalone" mode for quick devaluation calculations as well as for creating analyses linked to a property record.
To launch it in standalone mode, use the "Zone A Quick Calc" link on the main ribbon tab:
For more on entering analysis, click here.
Portable Analysis Files
When you enter a devaluation analysis, in either Zone A, overall, or another format, the data can be saved and sent to another agent or client. This is particularly useful for sharing comparable information.
From the Print Preview screen, you can choose the following options from the Email button menu:
Revised Screen Layouts
Most customers now have larger screens and we have amended the screen design of PD to reflect this. Most search screens now take the structure of a table of results with the details pane becoming visible on the right hand side when you double-click:
Analysis Preview
You can now go straight to the Analysis print preview tab from a record in the property search results without having to go into the pop up calculation form. This is on a new tab as shown below.
Improved Support for Turnover Rents
If you change the Lease Type on a property record to "Turnover Rent" a new section becomes available for you to populate basic turnover rent details for that lease.
Integrated Mapping and Street View
Property Records now include a map by default. This is initially based on the property address - if you find the pin is appearing in the wrong place, you can either put in a more detailed address or you can drag the pin into a new location. Once you have amended the pin location it will be stored for all future map displays.
By pressing the "Street View" button you can switch into Google Street View. If you need to move around or adjust the camera angle in Street View to see your property, you can save the exact position by pressing the "Save StreetView" button.
Please note that many locations are inaccessible to Google's cameras so Street View may not be available.
Importing from CVL and Spreadsheet
A new feature in PD is the ability to add to the database from Argus CVL files and spreadsheets, from the "Import And Analyse" screen. More information on this will be available shortly.
